This morning was conference time for the first time this year. Every time the girls have conferences I only get good reviews and that didn't change this time.
First up was Ashley. Ashley is in 4th grade. Although she was very nervous about starting 4th grade, she has been doing awesome! She is on the "AB" Honor Roll. She almost had straight A's. Only one B in reading, and the teacher said she thinks that's because of a new testing they started and at the beginning all the kids had trouble with it. Her teacher thinks the B will go up to an A with no problems, she had like a 88%. Her teacher had no complaints, said Ashley is very dependable and always has her work completed and can always count on her. The one thing Ashley was very excited about for 4th grade was that they could make robots. So, at the conference Ashley got to show me the robot that her and two of her classmates have been working on. They get to program them, make them do different commands and soon will be learning how to program them from an computer then download them to the robot. I don't remember doing things like that in grade school. She's a smart cookie!!
Then next was Megan's turn. Megan is in 2nd grade. Second grade still doesn't go by A's, B's, C's.... But Megan got all M's which is meeting where she should be and has an E in speaking/listening which is exceeding. She is also only 1 of 3 students in the class learning cursive writing, 1 of 2 students that are getting the enrichment math (harder problems) and is at the head of her class with her reading points. Her teacher says she is very helpful in class, she can work well independently and says she is very proud of Megan for how well she does (as am I).
And last there's Hannah. OK, Hannah is not in school yet, but in February she will be 4 years old and at the end of this school year she will be enrolled in Pre-K. They go everyday for like 2 1/2 or 3 hours a day. She is very excited about that. She asks me quite often when will she get to go to school. I think it will be a good experience for her, she is always attached to me when we go places and I think it will be good for her to make some friends!
I am very proud of my three smart and beautiful girls. Keep up the good work girl's!! I love you!!
