Last week, Wednesday and Thursday, Steve competed in a competition called the Raider Stakes. It started with a PT test very early in the morning. Then they had a series of events like grenades, first aid, DAGR, call for fire, night vision, weapons and a few others. Steve did the grenades, first aid and land nav. Then the next day they had a ruck march/run first thing in the morning, with a ruck sack filled with about 35 - 40 pounds, their Kevlar, and weapon and ran a lot of it which was 5 miles. When he came home afterwards he looked like she was dunked in water or something, wet from head to toe, but that was just how much he sweat out there. His team wasn't first, I think he was 3rd, but I think doing all that is awesome and hard work

Today Steve also found out he is no longer part of the GSE (Ground Support Equipment). He is now in HQ (Company Headquarters). He will be basically working in the office at the company. The bummer thing about the move is he won't get to actually preform his MOS (generator repair). But you go where they tell you to go and make the best of it.
